Here are some things to look for, and to ask when choosing a window washer:

Will they open each window and clean your sills and tracks? (Most window washers never open the windows)

Do they actually scrub your screens instead of just wiping them off? It makes no sense to have clean glass and dirty screens.

Do they look professional and are they in company uniforms? If they're not willing to invest in looking professional, then they're in this for the short term. Unfortunately, there are a lot of part-timers in the window washing business.

Ask for plenty of references along with phone numbers. A reputable window washing company should be glad to provide them to you.

Are they insured and bonded? Things happen. You need to be fully protected in case of unforeseen situations. (As a side note, we've never had a claim)

Do they use poles or ladders? You can't wash a window (and do a great job) from a distance using a pole. We own over a dozen different size ladders, so we'll be able to access every single window.

How do I prepare for window cleaning?

Close all windows.

Remove all fragile and/or sentimental items from window areas.

Window cleaners will move anything that is not moved from window areas as carefully as possible. However, Karin's Window Cleaning is not responsible for damaged items.

Karin's Window Cleaning would not like anything to be damaged when we leave our customers homes.

Should I have my windows cleaned before selling my house?

No, Karin's Window Cleaning is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive window cleaning service in the Twin Cities area. We pride ourselves on providing quality service to our customers at a fair price.
